Todays topic is what is being going around in my head for a long time.
" Did you check it ?" with a big finger being pointed at me. It is driving me crazy ever since I left DSTOE. I guess it will be going around my head until I'm in my dotage years.
This saying stems from the fact that all I did in my 17 years was to check the results of the trials analysis for my first supervisor.
When the big crunch came, the recurring nightmare started and the question was asked.
" What did I achieve ?"

Today's topic is " Trying to do everything".
When I worked at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) at Edinburgh SA Australia, I, and everybody else tried to do everything. It is impossible to do everything. We all have different skills and very few people have multiple skills in which to earn a living. Thats why the big re-organisation took place and a lot of people were made redundant, including myself.
I went through a phase of trying to find out what else am I good at while looking for work in the software field. But now I have realised that we cannot do everything but each person has a different set of skills and we all should make the most of these skills.
Anyway, I am still looking for a job in the software field and good luck to everyone in their chosen career.

The recent demise of D. Rumsfeld will be discussed here in tudsy.blogspot.com.
As a former defence employee, I think the resignation or " push over the cliff by George W." is not on. Let me explain. Despite the democrats win in both houses in the United States, I think stability in the leadership is the key to the success in the war in Iraq and elsewhere. A change in direction will cause more trouble for the coalition for the willing and more lives needlessly lost in all camps.
If D. Rumsfeld is to go then George W. and his administration also must go.
